FAQ's
Why
do I need a domain name?
A domain name provides your friends, clients and customers with a quick
and easy way to find you on the Internet. A domain name is unique - like
a fingerprint or a zebra's stripes. Nobody else can have the same name
as you. Your domain name distinguishes your web site from all others and
allows you to create a permanent and professional presence on the Internet.
Registering a domain name with MICROLINQ is your first step in establishing
an identity on the World Wide Web. With your own domain name, your web
address can be:
www.yourname.com
instead of:
www.yourinternetserviceprovider.com/yourname
Similarly, your email address can be:
yourname@yourcompany.com
rather than:
yourname@yourserviceprovider.com
This is crucial in a world where efficiency and first impressions are
so important.
Good domain names, ones that reflect the significance or essence of a
web site, are invaluable assets to a company or individual. For this reason,
these names are disappearing quickly. You can, however, reserve yours
now, even if you do not have an existing web or e-commerce site. Allow
MICROLINQ to show you how easy and fun this can be. Top
What
is a domain name?
Answer: A domain name is a method of remembering specific web sites on
the internet, usually a word or phrase that brings to mind one's person,
business, service or product. Once a person or company pays the fees associated
with registering a domain name, they "own" the domain until
they give or sell it to someone else, or until they fail to pay the maintenance
fee that is require after the initial registration period.Top

What is a Top Level Domain (TLD)?

a domain name. For instance, in the domain name mybrand.com, ".com"
is the TLD.
There are two types of top-level domains: global and country code. Global
Top Level Domains (gTLD) were created to be used by the Internet public,
